Scholarship Cuts from the National Collegiate Athletic Association.


The National Collegiate Athletic Association has decided to penalize 81 teams for falling short on academic standards. The teams will face scholarship cuts this year and may be subject to more penalties next year.

San Jose State, University of Hawaii, Middle Tennessee State, Western Michigan, and San Jose State are some of the schools that have received sanctions this year.

The NCAA’s academic reform program evaluates 6,110 teams on their eligibility, retention, and graduation rates.
